Celtic is one of the most popular clubs in the world but at the same time, one cannot argue that there is a lot more that can be done when its come building the club’s fanbase further. They do not have the same brand exposure as those like Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and others. And it appears that the Hoops are taking steps in the right direction in that regard.

NFL is the most popular sports league in the United States of America and by quite some margin. And even though American football might not be nearly as well known in the United Kingdom, it still does have a significant following.

Not many Celtic fans would have expected a couple of the club’s players to feature on one of their videos but that is exactly what has happened.

NFL UK’s official Twitter account, which has over 245 thousand followers at the moment, recently posted a video of Jota and Reo Hatate doing keepie uppies with an American football, and it has already racked up over 50 thousand views in just some hours:

NFL is a growing sport around the world and it is great to see Celtic get some solid exposure through them.

In the video, Jota comes out on top, having completed 36 keepie uppies before he decided to kick the American football into the distance. On the other hand, Hatate managed a respectable 20 of them as well.

It was a fun video to say the least, ahead of Celtic’s biggest game of the season, as they get ready to travel to Ibrox to face the Rangers in one of the most important Glasgow Derbies in a long, long time. With just 3 points separating the two sides, the game could have major implications on the title race.
