Things are looking up for Celtic at this point of time, both on and off the pitch. The club are leading the Premiership title race, with a three point lead over the Rangers with seven league games left to be played. They are also in the Scottish Cup semi-finals, where they will come up against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side at Hampden Park. Thus, as we head towards April, a treble is still on the cards for the Hoops.
One of the major problems that Celtic have faced in recent times though is keeping hold of their youngsters. Ben Doak is a great example, as the 16-year-old looks set for a move to Liverpool in the summer.
But Celtic have managed to keep hold of one of their most promising youngsters. As reported by the Daily Record, the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal were interested in Daniel Kelly, along with Portuguese giants Benfica.
But Celtic’s official account tweeted out, confirming that Kelly had signed his first professional contract with the Hoops:

Celtic youngster agrees first professional contract with the club despite Liverpool and Arsenal interest
It is safe to say that this is a huge boost for the Hoops and it will be interesting to see how Kelly develops over the coming years.
He has been very impressive while coming through the youth ranks at Celtic and it goes without saying that he is very highly-rated, when you look at the calibre of the teams who were interested in signing him.
Thus, if he can develop the way that many people at Parkhead expect him to, it is very possible that he could end up becoming a huge part of the first-team in the near future. He has signed a three-year deal, meaning there is plenty of time for him to take his steps into the Celtic senior team.
