The upcoming Glasgow Derby between Celtic and the Rangers, set to be played at Ibrox, is one of the most important games in the Premiership in years. It has been almost a decade since the title race was this tight between the two clubs. As things stand, The Hoops hold a 3-point lead over their crosstown rivals, with just seven more league games left to be played. The two teams will still face each other on a couple of occasions though.

Those two games could prove to be vital when it comes to determining the fate of the Premiership title.

There has been some controversy surrounding the upcoming fixture at Ibrox though, as Celtic were offered just 700 tickets as their away allocation. Many fans felt that the club should push for more or not accept the offer at all. But it appears that the Hoops are ready to go ahead with it and tickets are now up for sale.

Celtic make controversial Glasgow Derby announcement

The ticket allocation for away fans has been a topic of controversy in the Glasgow Derby for the past few years now and rightfully so.

These minor allocations have only taken away from the atmosphere of what is one of the biggest derbies in world football, if not the very biggest.

In the upcoming game, this will surely be a blow for Celtic. A win away at Ibrox will set them well on their way to the Premiership title as they would go 6 points ahead. A loss would bring the two sides level on points.

It looks like Celtic will have very little support from the stands on the occasion though but you can expect every fan who will be at Ibrox supporting the Bhoys to be in full voice.
