Josip Juranovic was one of the most exciting signings that Celtic made in the summer. A full Croatian international, there was no doubt about the quality that he was bringing with him to Parkhead. And we have already seen how brilliant he can be, at multiple positions. The right-back has played at left-back and on the wings as well, depending on the situation, and done a tremendous job considering the circumstances.

Since the return of Greg Taylor from injury, he has found a more settled role at right-back, despite the brilliant form that Anthony Ralston had shown in the first half of the season.

It will be interesting to see if the Croatian can end up lifting the league title with Celtic in his first season with the club, as he has admitted that he was a bit sceptical about the situation while coming in, after the club had not won anything.

As reported by Dalmacija Danas, recounting his first day at Celtic, Juranovic said:

"“Honestly, when I arrived in Glasgow I was a little skeptical, especially since the team won nothing last season. However, on the first day, the coach approached me and said, “This is a new Celtic, I want you in it.” He automatically brought a smile to my face, and since then I have not let go of my face.”"

Juranovic has proven to be an excellent addition for Celtic and still, it feels like there is another level to his game that he has not unlocked at Parkhead yet and the Croatian can be even better in the future.

He has some very healthy competition for his place in the team from Ralston as well. The Scottish right-back was nothing short of superb in the first half of the campaign, and has come up with huge moments on multiple occasions to win Celtic points. To be honest, he is a bit unlucky not to be playing much right now.

Juranovic has already won his first trophy with Celtic, the Scottish League Cup. And as we head into the final stretch of the season, the Hoops are still in contention to win a Treble.
