3 Celtic stars who will be very important vs Rangers

Hatate had one of the greatest Glasgow Derby debut performances earlier this year when he scored twice and assisted the other one in Celtic’s 3-0 win over the Rangers at Parkhead.

It was a huge display from the Japanese star and put Celtic in the driver’s seat in the Scottish Premiership title race.

Since then, Hatate has had an up and down time at Celtic though. His start to life at the club was nothing short of magnificent. But some of his recent displays have left a lot to be desired.

Against the Rangers, the club will be hoping to have him back on top of his game though. Some players just have the ability to rise to the occasion even when they are not in great form. Let’s just hope that Hatate is that kind of a player.

Carl Starfelt

There will be question marks about Celtic’s defence heading into the next Glasgow Derby. While there has been unquestionable improvement at the back for the Hoops this season, will they be able to hold their crosstown rivals goalless away in their own backyard?

A lot of that will depend on the pairing in the heart of defence, but particularly Starfelt. When it comes to Cameron Carter-Vickers, we almost know what to expect from the Tottenham Hotspur loanee.

The same cannot be said about Starfelt though, who has had his ups and down during his time at the club.

On top of his game, Starfelt is an excellent defender to have in your team. But at the same time, there are other times when he does appear to struggle.

Thus, it will depend on what version of Starfelt shows up against the Rangers. If he is at his best, then Celtic will have a great chance of getting a win here.
