Celtic’s biggest problem this season has been their injury problems. The first half of the campaign was completely dominated by them, as the Hoops did not have a very deep squad at the point of time. But after making five additions to their roster in the January transfer window, things have appeared to improve in this respect. But that does not mean that the club do not have their fair share of worries at the moment.

Kyogo has been out with an injury since last year and Daizen Maeda had to pull out of international duty due to fitness and condition issues.

Now, it looks like another Celtic player has been forced out of international duty. In a post on the club’s official website, Tom Rogic was not named as a player who will be going away to represent his country.

Rogic was supposed to be with the Australian national team during this international break but had to be forced off the pitch in the last game against Ross County for a tackle that saw Kayne Ramsay being shown a red card.

Another Celtic star appears to have pulled out of international duty

Rogic’s absence from international duty will raise concerns about whether he will be fit in time to feature against the Rangers at Ibrox, in one of the most important Glasgow Derbies in a long time.

Rogic has been an integral part of this Celtic team ever since the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as manager and if he was to miss out on a game of this magnitude, it would be a massive blow for the club.

One can only hope that Rogic is not seriously injured and will be back on the pitch as soon as possible. We can only wish him the best of luck in his recovery.
