Not too long ago, it had looked like Rogic’s time at Celtic was over. But the Australian remained at Parkhead and an exit failed to materialise. That has proven to be fortunate for the Hoops.

Rogic has proven to be a key player for Celtic this season and has established himself in the club’s playing XI once again, following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager.

Thus, if he does end up missing the game against the Rangers, especially away at Ibrox where his experience could come in handy, it would be considered as a massive blow on the part of Celtic.

But Rogic was forced off the pitch against Ross County after being on the end of a red card tackle from Kayne Ramsay. And it looks like he has pulled out of international duty since then as well.

One can only hope that it is not a serious issue for Rogic and he is back in the mix of things as soon as possible. Celtic definitely need their Australian magician to unlock defences.

Daizen Maeda

Maeda might have had his fair share of critics since his arrival at Celtic, but one cannot overlook the fact that he is already a key member of this team.

Maeda might not have enjoyed an incredible time in front of goal till now but the commitment that he has shown to this team is without question, brilliant.

Interestingly, he pulled out from the Japan national team in this international break due to fitness and condition reasons.

Maeda definitely brings a lot of energy up top and his pressing is nothing short of world-class. Thus, if Celtic end up missing both him and Kyogo in the game against the Rangers, then a lot of their intensity up front would be missing on the occasion.
