Celtic enjoyed a brilliant game against Ross County and it was their best performance in a long time. The sun was out in Glasgow and it appeared to add a pep to the step of Ange Postecoglou’s team. They went into the break 3-0 up and added a fourth in the second half. Giorgos Giakoumakis continued his hot streak in front of goal by scoring a hattrick while Daizen Maeda got the other one.

It was not all rosy for the Hoops though, as they saw Tom Rogic being forced off the pitch in the first half itself, following a tackle from Kayne Ramsay that saw the Ross County player sent off.

This is without a doubt a massive worry for Celtic as they head into one of the most important phases of the season. There are seven more league games to go and the club are in the Scottish Cup semi-finals as well, where they will face the Rangers at Hampden Park.

Postecoglou has given an update on the Australian midfielder after the game, which was promising but not positive. As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, the Celtic manager said:

"“Tom’s a bit sore. Hopefully it’s not too bad and now he’s away with the national team. We will see how he is.“He got a knock on his ankle and it isn’t great but we got the ice on him at half-time and we seem to think it isn’t too bad.”"

Celtic manager delivers Rogic injury update after Ross County game

Rogic has enjoyed a good run since the arrival of Postecoglou as Celtic manager and in the first half of the season, he was one of the club’s best players.

His form has appeared to take a bit of a dip in the last few months but he remains a very important part of this Celtic team nonetheless and is one of those players who has the ability to make something happen out of nothing at times.

Celtic do need to have those kind of talismans available. Thus, let’s see what the extent of Rogic’s injury is and hopefully, he will be back as soon as possible.
