Celtic find themselves in a solid position right now. In fact, it is perhaps better than anyone could have predicted coming out of the winter break, when the Rangers still had a significant 6-point lead in the title race. It is safe to say that things can change very quickly in football and in this case, they have, with the Hoops now leading their Glasgow rivals by 3 points. But, there is still a long way to go.

Celtic are set to face the Rangers three more times this season. Twice in the Premiership and in the Scottish Cup semi-finals. And it is safe to say that these games could end up determining the fate of both remaining domestic titles. Ange Postecoglou’s side have already won the Scottish League Cup.

Thus, Celtic will be hoping to have their best players available for these big games and they appear to have been handed a timely Kyogo Furuhashi boost.

There have been rumours that Kyogo is back in training and Celtic fans with a keen eye noticed him in the background, in an Instagram story that the club posted recently. The Japanese star appeared to be training on his own.

Celtic handed timely Kyogo fitness boost

Kyogo was arguably Celtic’s best player this season before he picked up a long-term injury in December.

He has been out of action since then, although at first, it had been believed that he would be back in a few weeks.

Thus, even if Kyogo is back fit, Celtic must give him the time to get back into the mix of things slowly instead of putting him back in the starting XI immediately.

At the moment, Giorgos Giakoumakis appears to be someone capable of finding the back of the net on a consistent basis. That has been great news for the Hoops in the absence of Kyogo.
