Celtic currently sit three points ahead of the Rangers in the Premiership table, with eight league games left to be played. Thus, while Ange Postecoglou’s side might be in the driver’s seat right now, that is not a commanding lead by any stretch of the imagination, especially with a couple more Glasgow Derbies still left to be played in the league. On top of that, the two sides are set to meet each other in the Scottish Cup semi-finals as well.

Coming out of the winter break, the Rangers had a six point lead in the Premiership but they have let it slip away. And one of their major worries at the moment would be the situation of Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey was a big name signing from the Rangers in January, as he was brought in on loan from Juventus till the end of the campaign. But, he has struggled to find his fitness since then and has barely featured for the Ibrox side, in his first month-and-a-half in Scotland.

Celtic have still been sent a warning regarding Ramsey though. As reported by The National, Trevor Sinclair, who played with the Welsh midfielder at Cardiff City, said:

"“Once he’s up and running, I’ve no doubt he’ll affect the team – and the league.“He’ll do that with goals, assists, energy and quality which we’ve seen over the last 15 years and that’s not going to change.“He can play different positions and isn’t a bad finisher either. He’ll have a lot to offer. Hopefully not enough! But I think he could be very influential.“You see the performances he puts on for Wales, what he did for Arsenal, how he played for Juve when allowed to.“He’s a top-class performer and he’s going to be a threat to Celtic, for sure.”"

Celtic sent Ramsey warning despite his slow start at Rangers

It is no secret that at the top of his game, Ramsey is a very good player. He showed that during his time at Arsenal and still does when he plays for the Wales national team.

He has had a few difficult seasons though and has struggled to remain fit for any considerable length of time. On top of that, one would expect him to take some time to adjust to the Scottish game as well.

Celtic could potentially come up against Ramsey three times till the end of the season. Now, it remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to feature in those games.
