Celtic will have been hoping to avoid any more problems as we head towards the final few games of the season. The Hoops have had to deal with a series of worries through the course of this campaign but amazingly, have done a commendable job on the pitch, having won the Scottish League Cup and sit at the top of the Premiership table as well, 3 points ahead of the Rangers with 8 league games left to be played.

Thus, it is safe to say that Celtic cannot afford to slip up even though they might be in the driver’s seat right now.

The club appear to have been handed a major double problem though. The line up against Dundee United for the Scottish Cup game has been announced and there are two glaring absentees, not only from the starting XI but from the bench as well.

The two of course are Jota and Liel Abada, both of whom are very important to this side, especially with Kyogo Furuhashi out of action with an injury of his own, possibly for several more weeks if not more. Celtic’s official account tweeted out the line up:

Celtic missing both Jota and Abada against Dundee United

One can only hope that this is a matter of them being rested rather than anything more serious but at this point of time, it does feel unlikely that Ange Postecoglou would leave two of his key players out completely from his squad, in what is a very important game.

Thus, let’s just hope that they are back available as soon as possible, with some huge games coming up over the coming weeks and months.

With the league title race tight, every game is huge for Celtic at this point of time to be honest. And if they are without arguably all three of their first-choice frontline trio, it will be a very big problem.
