Things are looking up for Celtic at the moment. The club have done better than anybody could have expected coming into the campaign, having finished the previous season 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership and without a single trophy. They have already lifted the Scottish League Cup this time around though and lead the Rangers by three points in the title race.

Thus, it is safe to say that Ange Postecoglou and his squad of players deserve a lot of credit, for how well they have done this season, especially considering the fact that most of them are in their first season of football in Scotland.

Thus, things could get even better for them in the future. And amidst all this, it looks like Celtic could be handed a major cash boost soon as well.

As reported by 90min, Real Madrid’s interest in Kieran Tierney has solidified after a month-long review of his performances and now, they are very much considering a move for the defender.

Real Madrid could hand Celtic a major cash boost

Tierney had come through the ranks at Celtic and established himself at Parkhead. Many fans viewed him as a future captain of the club.

Tierney would leave in the summer of 2019 though in a Scottish record move, joining Arsenal in a £25 million transfer deal. Since then, he has established himself there and caught the eyes of clubs around Europe with his impressive performances.

One such club appear to be Real Madrid. And it remains to be seen if the Spanish giants do actually end up making a move for Tierney.

Celtic are believed to have a sell-on clause, when it comes to any transfer fee that Arsenal receive over the £25 million that they had shelled out to sign Tierney. And considering how well he has done, it would not be a stretch if the Premier League giants look for something close to £50 million to let him leave.
