Things can change very quickly in football, Celtic have been proof of that this season. Coming into the campaign, most fans would have been happy with any silverware and just to close down the gap with the Rangers, who had finished 25 points ahead of the Hoops in the previous season. With a new manager coming along with several new players, this was viewed as a year of transition for this team.

Yet, Celtic have already lifted silverware this season in the form of the Scottish League Cup and currently sit 3 points ahead of the Rangers in the league table.

It has truly been a remarkable turnaround from this side and cannot be taken for granted. And Ange Postecoglou deserves immense credit.

He has come in and has been able to solve Celtic’s biggest problem from last season. No, it was not their defence, midfield or attack. It was their lack of belief to win games every time the going got tough.

Postecoglou has already solved Celtic’s biggest problem

Last season, Celtic ended up drawing an incredible 11 games, and they lost 5. This time around they have lost thrice till now, but been able to cut down the number of draws down to just 4, already winning more times in the league this season than they did in the last.

And how many times have we seen them come up with a winner past the 80th minute mark in a league game, when it had looked like they were destined to drop points on the day.

That has been the biggest difference between last season and this one. There has not been a remarkable difference in the number of goals scored or conceded. It is all about the mindset to go out there and win games even when things are not going your way. And this Celtic side is doing exactly that, time after time.
