Celtic are going through a great season till now. The club have already lifted the Scottish League Cup, thanks to a brace from Kyogo Furuhashi in the final against Hibernian back in December despite not being 100 per cent. On the other hand, they currently sit three points ahead of the Rangers in the Premiership. In the process, Ange Postecoglou has become a fan favourite among the supporters. But, which player is the manager’s favourite?

It is safe to say that there are a lot of great candidates and several players who have stood out this season.

Many who have arrived at the club during Postecoglou’s time. But quite a few who have already been here for a long time.

Now, while speaking on Celtic’s official YouTube channel, Carl Starfelt was asked about the manager’s favourite. The defender believed that it was between Kyogo and Callum McGregor, before settling on the captain.

Starfelt reveals who Postecoglou’s favourite at Celtic is

Both Kyogo and McGregor are great choices to be very honest and they have sacrificed a lot for the team this season.

As already mentioned, Kyogo was not 100 per cent in the Scottish League Cup final against Hibernian. But not only did he play through it, but proved to be the match winner as well, scoring a brilliant brace. He would play a week later as well, and that time around, the Japanese star ended up picking up an injury. He has been out of action since then.

On the other hand, McGregor has been his consistent self as always but this time around, he has had to deal with the responsibility of being the captain of Celtic as well. Recently, he suffered a serious facial injury but has played on with a protective mask.

These are the type of players that every manager wants to have in his team.
