Celtic youngster turns down Arsenal move in massive boost

In recent years, it has become a common sight to watch highly-rated Celtic youngsters leave in order to join Premier League teams and others around Europe before even breaking into the first-team picture at Parkhead. It goes without saying that this is not good for the Hoops and it is something that they need to work on as soon as possible. Thus, it is brilliant news for Celtic that one of their most highly-rated youngsters has chosen to remain at Parkhead over moving to one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League in Arsenal.

The player in question is Daniel Kelly, a 16-year-old midfielder, who has been on the radar of several top clubs.

But as reported by Football Scotland, Kelly will choose to remain at Parkhead and is likely to put pen to paper on his first professional deal in the near future.

Things appear to be changing under the management of Ange Postecoglou though and there have been suggestions that youngsters could get more opportunities moving forward. And it is very promising to see someone like Kelly choosing to remain at Celtic over joining Arsenal.
