Brendan Rodgers makes exciting future Celtic manager prediction

Brendan Rodgers is one of the best Celtic managers in the club’s recent history although the manner of his exit means that most fans do not remember him very fondly. The Northern Irishman would depart Parkhead in the middle of the season to seal a return to the Premier League with Leicester City, where he has done a great job, winning an FA Cup, a Community Shield and guiding them to back-to-back fifth place finishes in the Premier League.

Before that, he had enjoyed tremendous success at Celtic, turning them into a Treble winning machine. Thus, there is no question about Rodgers as a manager and in recent times, he has been linked with clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Recently, rumours have emerged that he has offered the chance for Scott Brown, who has left Aberdeen, to spend some time with himself and the coaches at Leicester City.

And Rodgers believes that Brown could be a future manager at Celtic, although the timing might not be right as of now. As reported by the Daily Record, the Leicester City tactician said:

"“I do think that one day that could be the position for him but I’m not sure it’s the best step for him to go back right now.“If you look at it, Ange is doing a great job and he’s very clear in how he works. Then, behind him, you’ve got a brilliant coach in John Kennedy who is there to support the manager and you also have Gavin Strachan and Stephen McManus.”"

Rodgers believes that Brown can be Celtic manager one day

Brown had brought an end to his playing career at Celtic last summer by joining Aberdeen in a player-coach role.

But the exit of Stephen Glass as Aberdeen manager put Brown’s future in doubt as well, and now, he has departed Pittodrie Stadium, less than a year after his move.

Rumours have suggested that he might hang up his boots and completely focus on coaching from here on and a return to Celtic might even be on the cards.

With the amount of success that Brown enjoyed as Celtic captain, it would not be a stretch to predict that he could be the club’s manager one day. Of course, all of it will depend on how he does in that role, as great players are not always great managers.
