Hatate enjoyed a tremendous start to life at Celtic. He was almost untouchable in his first several games for the club.

This included an all-time great Glasgow Derby debut performance against the Rangers, when he scored a couple of brilliant goals and provided a great assist, to guide Celtic to a 3-0 win over Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side and the top of the Premiership table.

But in recent games, Hatate has not looked good. He looks devoid of ideas at the moment and is just missing that spark that he had shown in those early performances in a Celtic jersey.

Of course, it is still early days for him at Celtic and there is nothing to be worried about in the long-term, but with the title race heating up, Ange Postecoglou will surely be hoping to have one of his key players in top form, with some very important games coming up over the next weeks and months, which could very well have major implications on the destination of the Premiership trophy.

Jota

For a large period of time, it had looked like Jota was the best player in Scotland. He was nothing short of sensational, leading up to his injury earlier on in the campaign.

Since his return from injury, Jota has not been able to rediscover that same form, when he was putting in one brilliant performance after another.

Instead, there have been games when he has struggled and badly. Of course, when on song, he still looks like a player on a different level, but those moments are far rarer now than they were last year.

One also has to question whether the lack of clarity over his future is having an effect on his form. At this point of time, he is only on a season-long loan from Benfica, although Celtic do have an option to buy included in the deal.
