Celtic got back on track with a 2-0 win over St Mirren. It might not have been a great performance, but it was enough to hand them all three points and at the business end of the season, that is what matters the most. On the other hand, the Rangers were able to get a 1-0 win over St Johnstone, meaning that the gap between the two Glasgow giants in the Premiership table remained at three points.

With just nine more league games to be played, it does feel like this title race is going to go right down to the wire and a lot might end up depending on how the next two Glasgow Derbies turn out.

But it looks like Ange Postecoglou is not too occupied with how things are going for the Rangers and is concentrating on Celtic completely.

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, when asked after the match whether he checks the Rangers’ results, Postecoglou told BBC Sportsound [02/03, 10:02pm]:

"“I still don’t know how they got on mate! I don’t care because it makes no difference to us. For us what’s important is that we know that if we’re winning games of football we’re going to be in good shape.“I’ve said all along it wasn’t looking at the ladder when we were 6 or 7 points behind and I’m not looking at it now. What’s important is what we’re doing.”"

Postecoglou makes Rangers admission after Celtic win vs St Mirren

Postecoglou has always maintained that he is only concentrating on Celtic’s results. In this regard, the manager does have tunnel vision.

But with less than a quarter of the season left, it is safe to say that most Celtic fans will have their eyes on the Ibrox side and will be hoping for them slip up as frequently as possible.

As things stand, Celtic have a three point lead at the top. While a comfortable cushion to have, that is not a commanding lead by any stretch of the imagination and the table can turn on its head in a game or two.

Thus, Postecoglou’s side need to be careful. They have done well till now and shown tremendous progress. But the league title is still pretty much up for grabs.
