After dropping points against Hibernian, it had felt like Celtic had dropped the ball and the Rangers were set to cut short the gap to just one point. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side started brilliantly against Motherwell, taking an early 2-0 lead, before the visitors clawed their way back at Ibrox and walked out of the game with a magnificent comeback 2-2 draw.

It is safe to say that it was a massive relief for Ange Postecoglou’s side and the gap between the two Glasgow giants remained at three points. But the game against Hibernian should be a wake up call for the Hoops.

There is still a long way to go in the league season, 10 more games to be precise, and it will not take long for their lead to be overturned if Celtic are not careful. They have done tremendously well to reach the top, but now they have to make sure that they remain there till the end of the campaign and lift the Scottish Premiership title.

Their next game is against St Mirren, who are enjoying a good season of their own and if they can get a win on the day, they will climb up to fourth in the Premiership table. Celtic on the other hand will be looking for all three points this time around.

There is very little doubt about who the man between the posts will be. Not only do Celtic need Hart to pull off some big saves right now but they also need his leadership to get through this rough patch of form.

He is someone who has been there and done that at the biggest of stages, and will hopefully be able to help some of the youngsters play their way into form.
