Celtic would have come into the game against Hibernian looking for a bounce back, after being knocked out of the Europa Conference League by Bodo/Glimt in midweek, 5-1 on aggregate. The performance on the day from the Hoops did not suggest so though, as they could only manage a goalless draw away at Easter Road and did not even come close to getting one in the back of the net to be honest.
It was just an uninspiring display from Ange Postecoglou’s side and one in a series of many to be brutally honest.
Since the first half against Aberdeen, the club have been missing a bit of something going forward and although some of the results have been decent, the performances have been hardly anything similar to the Angeball we had seen less than a month ago in the 3-0 win over the Rangers.
They just did not have enough creativity going forward in the game against Hibernian and nobody can complain about the fact that the game ended in a draw. Reacting to the performance on the day, John Hartson tweeted out:
Nowhere near good enough that performance from Celtic, very flat, no threat down the middle, didn’t work the Hibs keeper Matt Macey enough..

Celtic were not good enough against Hibernian and could only get a draw
To be honest, Celtic were not good enough on this occasion and dropped a couple of precious points, as we enter the business end of the season.
The Rangers let them off the hook though, as they could only draw their game against Motherwell, despite having taken a 2-0 lead.
Thus, things are certainly getting very interesting in this title race with three points between Celtic and the Rangers. But neither team is doing well in the league right now and will need to step their games up. There is still a long way to go in the Premiership this season and it is all up for grabs at the moment.
