For the past few months, there has been nothing but praise and love for Ange Postecoglou among the Celtic fans and it is not hard to see why. The manager has been nothing short of extraordinary ever since coming in at the club. The magnitude of the task that he faced at Parkhead was immense and he has done better than most people would have imagined at the start of the season.

Celtic had not won a single trophy last season and finished 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership table.

This season, Celtic have already won a title in the form of the Scottish League Cup, thanks to a Kyogo Furuhashi brace in the final against Hibernian. The Hoops also sit at the top of the Premiership table, leading the Rangers by three points.

That is not a huge gap in points though. In fact, the Rangers had twice the lead over Celtic coming out of the winter break and it is safe to say that that did not last long. Thus, the Hoops must be careful that that does not happen to themselves.

Celtic hold a very good record against Hibernian this season but it must be pointed out that Hibs do still have a very good team, and can actually get a result against the Hoops if they are on the top of their game.

Postecoglou’s side have to make sure that that does not happen. While the club have a three point lead at the top, just one bad day at the office can wipe that off. They do not have a big margin for error at all.

And this upcoming game against Hibernian could be important to Celtic, in more ways than one, as they hope to march towards the title.
