Perhaps for the first time during the course of his run at Celtic, Ange Postecoglou played it safe and named a starting XI that was nowhere near the strongest that he had available to himself.

With Bodo/Glimt holding a 3-1 win from the first leg and with tough conditions to navigate through in Norway, it looks like the manager decided to prioritise domestic competition over Europe.

Was it the difficult weather conditions? Or perhaps the artificial turf? Or maybe it was just too big of a mountain to climb for the Hoops and they would much rather focus on domestic competition, with a spot in the Champions League up for grabs for next season.

Whatever may be the case, there is no denying the fact that this was not the best that Celtic had to offer on this occasion.

Was it the right decision though? That is something only time will tell and will be determined by the colour of the ribbons on the Premiership trophy come the end of the season.

All eyes on the league

It is safe to say that it looks like Celtic have their eyes firmly on the Premiership right now. And understandably so, as it is without doubt the most important competition that they are still in.

The club have given themselves a brilliant chance over the past few months by climbing up the table, as they current sit at the top, three points ahead of the Rangers.

Of course, there is still a long way to go though and it will be interesting to see how the Hoops navigate through the remainder of the season. It is certainly not going to be easy, with two Glasgow Derbies still to be played.

While the Bodo/Glimt game might have ended in a loss, Celtic will surely be hoping that this is the last time that they taste defeat this season.
