Celtic already have their backs against the wall, as they travel to Norway to face Bodo/Glimt in the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League tie. The Norwegian champions won the first leg at Parkhead 3-1, handing them a huge advantage. And Ange Postecoglou’s side will have to put in a Herculean effort, to turn this tie on its head. It is still very much possible, but the odds are not in the Hoops’ favour.

The away game in Norway was always believed to be the most complicated thing about this tie. Not only will the weather conditions play a big factor, but also the fact that Bodo/Glimt have an incredible record at home.

Earlier in the season, they got a 6-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma there. That should tell you everything that you need to know about the magnitude of the task awaiting Celtic.

Amidst all this, Celtic have decided not to train on the Bodo pitch ahead of the game, because of the weather conditions. This has caused a bit of controversy around the media. But as reported by Celts Are Here, when asked about it, Postecoglou said that it would make ‘zero difference’ to the game.

Postecoglou makes big claim about controversial Celtic decision

Celtic have already pulled off some big results under the management of Postecoglou. But if they are able to go through to the next round, by beating Bodo/Glimt in their own backyard, it would arguably be the most impressive till now.

Let’s see what the future holds. What is safe to say though is that it won’t be easy for the Hoops by any stretch of the imagination.

It must be said though that Celtic did have more shots, shots on target and possession than Bodo/Glimt in the first leg. And if they are able to be more clinical in front of goal, they could potentially make something out of this match.
