Ralston has had a rollercoaster season till now. At the start of the campaign, nobody would have expected him to play much of a role in this Celtic team.

But he got a good run of games at the start, with the club not having another recognised right-back at that point of time. It is safe to say that he took the chance with both hands and has been in and around the first-team ever since.

In recent months though, it had looked like Josip Juranovic had been able to move ahead of him in the right-back pecking order, while Greg Taylor would occupy the left-back position. And it still remains to be seen what Ange Postecoglou’s long-term plans are for his full-back positions.

But one thing that is undeniable is that Ralston has a penchant for coming up with big moments, when the team needs one the most.

That proved to be the case here as well, as he provided a brilliant match-winning assist for Giakoumakis’ hattrick goal.

Defending set-pieces is Celtic’s biggest worry right now

Coming to the one glaring negative that was clearly evident in this game. Celtic can’t defend set-pieces.

For one reason or the other, this has remained a problem for them for quite some time now and it is showing no sign of going away anytime soon.

With the margins so tight in the title race right now, this is a huge worry for Celtic as it is clear that opposition teams are trying to exploit this weakness in their game.

Thus, Postecoglou needs to find a solution to this problem as soon as possible. Could someone like Christopher Jullien be a potential answer, who has shown in the past that he is decent aerially in both boxes?
