Celtic left it late as usual but ultimately, it worked out well for Ange Postecoglou’s side. For a large part of the game, it had looked like the Hoops were set to drop points, just like the Rangers, who had drawn 1-1 with Dundee United earlier in the day. But that was not to be as a hattrick from Giorgos Giakoumakis powered them towards a 3-2 victory over Dundee FC and extended their lead at the top of the table to 3 points.

It is hard to believe but coming out of the winter break, the Rangers had a 6 point lead at the top and were heavy favourites to win the Premiership title once again this season.

It is safe to say that things have changed quite a bit over the past month or so and now, it is Celtic who find themselves in the driver’s seat. And this is despite the fact that the Rangers brought in Aaron Ramsey on loan from Juventus in January.

Ramsey has sent a defiant message on his Instagram story after the 1-1 draw against Dundee United and as reported by the Daily Record, he wrote:

"“A long way to go, massive week ahead.”"

There is no question about the fact that there is still a long way to go in the Premiership title race and a lot could happen between now and the end of the season.

But all things considered, Celtic should be very happy with where they find themselves with 11 more league games to be played, at the top with a 3 point advantage.

And while we all know how quickly things can change in football, this Celtic side is certainly showing a lot of character. Recently, there have been several games, which last season, they would have lost or drawn. But this time around, they are just finding ways to win. Long may it continue.
