Ange Postecoglou confirms Celtic star’s return vs Bodo/Glimt
While Celtic are in the middle of a great run of form, Bodo/Glimt could represent their toughest test in a long time. The Norwegian champions have impressed in Europe this season, holding a 6-1 win over AS Roma as well as a 2-2 draw away in Italy against Jose Mourinho’s side. Thus, it is safe to say that the Hoops must take their UEFA Europa Conference League opponents very seriously.
But at the same time, Ange Postecoglou’s side must be very confident of their own chances as well, having already defeated AZ Alkmaar and Real Betis this season, while putting in a commendable performance against a brilliant Bayer Leverkusen team, away in Germany.
When at the top of their game, Celtic have shown that they can deal with top opposition in Europe. And they have been handed a major availability boost heading into their game against Bodo/Glimt.
Postecoglou has confirmed that Josip Juranovic is available to face Bodo/Glimt. Although there was some bad news at the same time surrounding Mikey Johnston. As reported by The Scotsman, the Celtic manager said:
"“From last weekend, Mikey Johnston picked up an ankle sprain – nothing too serious but it will keep him out for a little while.“Everyone else came through OK, Josip Juranovic is available, he’s back training.”"
Juranovic is available for Celtic vs Bodo/Glimt game
Juranovic had missed the past couple of games due to illness but it looks like he has recovered in time and could end up featuring against Bodo/Glimt. Whether he will start or not remains to be seen, but Celtic do have another excellent option at right-back in the form of Anthony Ralston.
Juranovic has been brilliant in recent times and put in an incredible performance against the Rangers in the Glasgow Derby that Celtic ended up winning 3-0 at Parkhead.
Fans will be hoping that he is in similar form when the club take on Bodo/Glimt over two legs, first at Parkhead and then away in Norway, which is expected to be a very difficult game for Postecoglou’s side.
