Celtic have a huge European night coming up as they welcome Bodo/Glimt to Parkhead in the first leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League tie. The Norwegian champions are a great team and hold a 6-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma this season. As a result, it would be a huge mistake on the part of the Hoops to take them lightly and this promises to be a tight contest between two good teams.

Celtic have impressed in Europe this season as well. Despite being placed in arguably the toughest group in the Europa League with Bayer Leverkusen, Real Betis and Ferencvaros, they got 9 points out of a possible 18 and were unlucky not to make it to the next round of the competition.

And with the kind of form that Celtic have showed in recent weeks and months, they must be confident of their chances against Bodo/Glimt.

In fact, Celtic appear to be at the top of the UEFA Europa Conference League form chart right now, ahead of clubs like Feyenoord, Marseille, AZ Alkmaar and others. The competition’s official account tweeted out:

Celtic are the top team in form in the UEFA Europa Conference League

It is safe to say that Celtic are in top form at the moment. And although they must not take anything for granted, they must be quietly confident as well.

Postecoglou’s side have impressed in Europe this season. They have already defeated AZ Alkmaar over two legs when not many people had given them a chance, hold a victory over Real Betis, who are sitting at 3rd in the La Liga table right now, and were minutes away from getting a win away in Germany against a brilliant Bayer Leverkusen team.

Thus, there are many who believe that Celtic are good enough to make a run for the trophy here although that is still a long way away and for now, they must have their full focus on Bodo/Glimt, who are capable of dominating top European sides on their day.
