Celtic have completed an incredible turnaround ever since Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as the club’s manager in the summer. The Hoops had finished 25 points behind the Rangers in the Scottish Premiership last season and did not win a single piece of silverware. On top of that, they had to undergo a massive squad overhaul this time around, with a number of key players departing the club.

And this makes Postecoglou’s quick success at Celtic even more remarkable. The club have already ended their trophyless streak by winning the Scottish League Cup and are sitting at the top of the Premiership right now.

One of the biggest reasons behind their good form is how quickly some of the new arrivals have adjusted to the club. Celtic made twelve signings in the summer and then added a further five to their ranks in January.

Now, Postecoglou has revealed why that has been the case so often. As reported by The National, while speaking with Stan Sport, the manager said:

"“When I go looking for players I’m the same. I’ve got a real clear idea. When I see what I want I picture them in my team and when they fit that picture most of the time it works.“It comes back to the first thing is that I have absolute clarity about how I want my team to play.“What quality each player should have in each position and that should make it easier for the players as well because they’ve already got some of the things I’m looking for so their adjustment period becomes quicker.“The players I’ve brought in have hit the ground running and people ask why so quickly but it’s because I already know they’ve go the attributes I’m looking for and the rest is just understanding the gameplay.”"

It looks like the biggest reason behind some of Celtic’s signings being instant hits at Parkhead is the fact that Postecoglou has a clear vision of where they would fit into the team and his style of football.

Kyogo arrived in the summer and has arguably been the best player in Scotland since then. Jota, who is on loan from Benfica, has been nothing short of remarkable either. Reo Hatate has proven himself as a matchwinner against the Rangers already. And several others like Cameron Carter-Vickers, Matt O’Riley, Liel Abada, Josip Juranovic, Joe Hart, Carl Starfelt, Daizen Maeda and a few others also deserve praise for how well they have done.

Most Celtic fans would not have expected the club to do nearly as well as they have till now and it is safe to say that they are very much in the Premiership title race this time around with the Rangers.
