Celtic are on a great run of form at the moment, which has seen them overturn a 6-point deficit against the Rangers into a one point lead since the return from the winter break, as Ange Postecoglou’s side now sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership table. They will know though that there is a long way to go and must be keen on not letting the momentum break. The Hoops’ next match is against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup.

While one would expect Celtic to win this one, nothing can ever be ruled out in football, especially an upset in cup competitions.

Thus, Postecoglou’s side must remain on their toes at all times and will hopefully put in a good performance against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup this weekend. The club have been handed a blow going into the game though.

As reported by The National, Postecoglou has revealed that Celtic will be without Josip Juranovic, when they take on Raith Rovers in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

Juranovic ruled out of Celtic vs Raith Rovers

It is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal but hopefully Juranovic will be back in action when Celtic come up against tougher opposition over the coming weeks and months.

Juranovic had put in an incredible performance for the Hoops in their recent Glasgow Derby win against the Rangers.

He was left on the bench for the game after that though and was completely out of the matchday squad against Aberdeen, with it emerging that it was due to illness.

All we can do now is hope that Juranovic recovers from his illness as soon as possible and is back to full fitness. Celtic are definitely a better team with the Croatian international on the pitch than without him.
