Celtic suffered a huge scare against Aberdeen but were ultimately able to come out of the game with all three points and a 3-2 win. It had initially looked like the Hoops were going to ease their way to victory at the Pittodrie Stadium after they took an early 2-0 lead, with Jota and Matt O’Riley finding the back of the net in the first half. But as has so often been the case, they did not look as good in the second half.

On the other hand, Aberdeen improved drastically after the break and scored in quick succession to return to level terms, on 2-2.

Things would not stay that way for long though as Jota would hand Celtic the lead back and it would prove to be the winner on the night, as the Hoops held on this time around and the game finished 3-2.

Aberdeen manager, Stephen Glass, was not too happy with one of Celtic’s goals though. As reported by the The Scottish Sun, he said:

"“To me looking from the side he looks offside.“Regardless he fouls Bates and stops him from getting back to Jota, who scores the goal.”"

It is safe to say that this is a game that Celtic probably would have drawn or even lost last season. But that was not the case this time around, as they have shown the ability to find ways to win, which is the biggest trait that a champion side should have.

The Rangers have bounced back after their Glasgow Derby defeat at the hands of Celtic as well though, with a 5-0 win against Hearts and a 2-0 win against Hibernian.

Thus, it is looking like the Scottish Premiership title race could go right down to the wire and as a result, Celtic need to continue stringing together wins. They just have a one point lead over the Rangers and even a mediocre performance can lead to them dropping back down to second place if the Hoops are not careful.
