Celtic have been brilliant in terms of transfers in the Ange Postecoglou era, especially when you consider how many players have arrived at Parkhead over the previous two windows. The club completed twelve signings, ten on a permanent basis and two on loan, in the summer and then signed five more players last month. And incredibly, most of them have made a mark on the first-team already.

This just goes on to show the eye for talent that Postecoglou has and hopefully, the club will continue to back him in the future as well.

One player who has been a particular standout for Celtic this season is Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur right now. The Hoops have an option to buy included in the deal though and there have been suggestions that they are looking to make the move permanent.

Amidst all this, Technical Performance Director Steve Hitchen recently left Tottenham Hotspur and Kevin Phillips told Football Insider about the situation:

"“It looks like Paratici and Conte have taken full control.”"

He also added:

"“I expect Conte and Paratici to have the full say on signings at the club moving forward.”"

Conte could hand Celtic a Carter-Vickers transfer boost

If Phillips turns out to be right, it could come as positive news for Celtic. As tweeted out by Ekrem Konur recently, Carter-Vickers is not in Conte’s plans.

As a result, it could become more likely for the Tottenham Hotspur manager to let him leave if the right offer came in. It must also be pointed out that Carter-Vickers is not believed to have a lot of time left on his current deal with the Premier League club either.

It remains to be seen how things unfold over the coming weeks and months. What matters most to Celtic right now though is the fact that Carter-Vickers has continued to perform brilliantly for them. Now, it will be interesting to see whether the club are able to sign him on a permanent basis or not.
