Celtic have made a remarkable turnaround this season under the management of Ange Postecoglou. The club had finished last season 25 points behind the Rangers and without a trophy. Thus, expectations were low coming into this campaign and most people probably would have been satisfied with a second-placed finish in the league and one of the cup titles. It looks like the Hoops could end up overdelivering though.

Celtic have already won the Scottish League Cup this season, with a 2-1 win over Hibernian in the final. And they sit at the top of the Premiership table as well, which not many would have seen coming, after they had lost three of their first six games.

And what is even more impressive is the fact that they have achieved all this while navigating through a series of injuries. Things appear to be looking up in that front as well though, with one star looking set to make his return from injury this weekend.

While speaking with Celtic TV and as reported by 67 Hail Hail, Postecoglou said:

"“Yosuke is training with the group. He won’t be ready for Wednesday but should be alright for the weekend which is promising.”"

It is safe to say that this would come as a huge boost for Celtic. The club signed Yosuke Ideguchi in the January transfer window but before they could see much of the Japanese star, he was injured against Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Cup game.

Since then, he has been out of action. The Hoops have been able to navigate through it though, with options in the middle of the park looking incredible at this point of time.

But that does not mean that they do not need Ideguchi back. And after seeing how well some of the other Japanese players have done already, there is an excitement to see how good he can be when fit and available.

Celtic are scheduled to face Raith Rovers this weekend in the Scottish Cup.
