Celtic pulled off their biggest result of the 2021/22 season till now with a 3-0 victory over the Rangers in the Premiership. Not only was it a win in the Glasgow Derby but it also sent the Hoops to the top of league table. And not just that, but it was also their first win over the Ibrox side in a long time, having failed to hand them a single defeat in the previous season. Thus, all things considered, it was a brilliant night of football for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Coming out of the winter break, they had been six points behind the Rangers in the Premiership table but now, they find themselves one point clear at the top.

The important thing now though, will be to keep putting in performances like this and continue to register as many wins as possible. There is still a long way to go in the season and we are just in early February right now.

Amidst all this, Neil Lennon has given his take on the entire situation and considering his incredible experience of the Glasgow Derby, both as a player and as a manager, he will certainly know a thing or two about the game. As reported by Football Scotland, he told talkSPORT:

"“I knew exactly what Ange was going through on Wednesday night because it was an amazing first half performance.“Psychologically the momentum is with Celtic at the minute. Gio will be sitting in a dark room for a couple of days scared to pop his head out.”"

It is safe to say that the momentum is certainly with Celtic right now, after they have turned a six point deficit into a one point lead within the space of a couple of weeks.

Now, the pressure is on the Rangers to turn it around and bounce back from their disappointing run of results and they find themselves chasing the Hoops are quite some time.

It will be very interesting to see how this title race turns out with the Rangers having a potential ace up their sleeve yet in the form of Aaron Ramsey.
