Celtic completed an impressive turnaround under the management of Ange Postecoglou by reaching the top of the Scottish Premiership table once again following their 3-0 win over the Rangers at Parkhead in midweek. Reo Hatate scored a brilliant brace on the day with Liel Abada adding a third to seal the three points and a very important Glasgow Derby victory for the Hoops.

It is hard to imagine that at the start of the season, questions were raised about whether the club would even finish in second place. They had lost three of their first six league games and were struggling early on in the campaign.

Postecoglou deserves a lot of credit for how well Celtic have done this season but so do a number of their new signings, who have come in and immediately made an impact without taking much time to settle in.

One such player is Liel Abada. While he has had his fair share of critics, nobody can argue with his numbers. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 13 goals and provided 9 assists already this season.

Abada’s impressive form appears to have caught the eye of clubs from down South. As tweeted out by Ekrem Konur, Celtic could receive a £10 million transfer offer for him in the summer transfer window. English clubs are believed to be preparing offers for the youngster.

It is not hard to see why English clubs might be interested in signing Abada. While he has blown hot and cold at times, there is no denying his potential and his effectiveness. 22 goal contributions by February is fantastic output for any winger.

On top of that, Abada is just 20 years of age and would be expected to get even better as he gains more experience. Thus, Celtic might have a tough time keeping hold of the Israeli international in the near future.
