Celtic will be going into the upcoming Glasgow Derby against the Rangers at Parkhead as the team in form. The Hoops got a massive 1-0 win over Dundee United at the weekend through a 90th minute strike from Liel Abada. On the other hand, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side ended up conceding in the 6th minute of stoppage time to draw 3-3 against Ross County. As a result, the gap between the two Glasgow giants was cut down to just two points.

It means that if Celtic get a win this week against the Rangers, they will move ahead of them and reach the top of the Premiership table after a long time. Of course, the aim is to finish there but even then, it would be a welcome boost for a team that had finished 25 points behind in second place last season.

On the other hand, the Rangers have a lot to be excited about as well at the moment as the club pulled off the loan signing of Aaron Ramsey on deadline day of the January transfer window.

Not many would have seen it coming and it was a massive move to say the least. But at the same time, they have suffered a Ramsey injury blow before facing Celtic. As reported by The Scottish Sun, the Welshman said:

"“I’m probably going to be a little bit short for the Old Firm game but hopefully I can get myself ready this week and look forward to getting ready for the weekend, really.”"

This will come as a blow for the Rangers, who would have surely been hoping to have Ramsey available to face Celtic.

He has not played a lot of football in recent times though, as his history with injuries is well known as well. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has featured for just 112 minutes of football this season till now.

Thus, while one cannot completely rule out Ramsey featuring against Celtic, it would be a big surprise to see him on the pitch in the Glasgow Derby.
