Josip Juranovic

Juranovic appears to have moved ahead of Anthony Ralston in the right-back pecking order in Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Carter-Vickers has been excellent for Celtic ever since arriving on loan in the summer from Tottenham Hotspur and will need to be at the top of his game if the Hoops are to keep the Rangers from finding the back of the net.

Carl Starfelt

Starfelt’s form has blown hot and cold at times. Hopefully he will be at his best when the Hoops come up against the Rangers.

Greg Taylor

While left-back has been an area of worry for Celtic, Taylor seems to be the one that Postecoglou trusts when it comes to the big games.

Callum McGregor

This is a big one but with McGregor returning to training and several other midfielders missing, the Celtic captain might very well make his return to the starting XI in unexpected fashion.

Reo Hatate

Hatate has put in some solid displays already for Celtic. It will be interesting to see though how he does against the Rangers.

Matt O’Riley

Another player who has been excellent since arriving at Celtic. The game against the Rangers will be by far his biggest test till now though.

Liel Abada

Abada cropped up with a 90th minute winner against Dundee United. Hopefully, he will be at his effective best against the Rangers as well.

Giorgos Giakoumakis

Giakoumakis has led the line for Celtic in recent weeks with several players out injured or unavailable. And while Maeda might very well make the bench, the Japanese star is not expected to start, having represented his national team the previous day.

Jota

Jota has been excellent since arriving at Celtic and would be expected to start against the Rangers. With Kyogo out injured, he will need to step up his game and be the club’s talisman on the day.
