Rogic has been one of Celtic’s standout players this season. Thus, it was not much of a surprise when he was called up by the Australia national team for key World Cup qualifiers.

That means though that he will not be available for Celtic’s upcoming games, including the Glasgow Derby and that is not good news for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Rogic has been an ever present in the starting XI this season and has cropped up with a moment of magic numerous times already. Unfortunately, he will not be available to do so when Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side come visiting Parkhead.

Daizen Maeda

It might have only been weeks since Maeda arrived at Celtic but he has already managed to open his goals account for the club and he showed some brilliant movement and positioning against Alloa Athletic, although some disappointing finishing as well as good goalkeeping stopped him from getting his name on the scoresheet.

With Kyogo not present, one would have expected Maeda to lead the line for Postecoglou’s side but the Japanese star has been called up by their national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and just like Rogic, he will not be available vs the Rangers.

David Turnbull

While a lot of questions have been asked about Rogic’s form this season, one cannot deny the fact that he has been one of the regulars in Postecoglou’s midfield.

Turnbull picked up an injury in the Scottish League Cup final vs Hibernian though and has been out of action ever since, and could still be out for several more weeks.

As a result, it feels unlikely that he will be available to feature against the Rangers at the start of February either, adding to the list of key players Celtic are missing at the moment due to a variety of reasons.
