Anthony Ralston

Ralston was one of Celtic’s best performers in the first half of the campaign but could find playing time harder to come by moving forward with Greg Taylor now back from injury, moving Josip Juranovic back to right-back. This is a great game to give the Scot a run out in the park though.

Stephen Welsh

Welsh has been the back up to Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers this season and done a good job. He should get the nod from the very beginning here though.

Nir Bitton

One has to wonder whether Christopher Jullien will get a start after his recent return from injury but the Alloa pitch might not be the best place to give the Frenchman his comeback match, after more than a year out of action. Thus, Bitton could get the start in defence.

Liam Scales

Scales has impressed in recent times and should get some more game time in the Scottish Cup.

Yosuke Ideguchi

The Celtic summer signing made a cameo against Hibernian but might very well get the start against Alloa Athletic.

James McCarthy

McCarthy has never quite got it going since arriving at Parkhead in the summer and must be looking to get his Celtic career off the ground in the second half of the season.

Matt O’Riley

It has not been long since O’Riley arrived at the club but his first start might not be far away.

Mikey Johnston

Johnston has struggled with both form and fitness this season but this might be a good opportunity for him to make an impact.

Giorgos Giakoumakis

Giakoumakis is another player who has not been able to make an impact since joining Celtic but this might be a great chance for the striker to add to his goal tally.

Adam Montgomery

Montgomery impressed earlier on in the season before fading away badly. Hopefully he can rediscover his form soon.
