Boyle is someone that Celtic have been linked with for a long time now. The rumours were there last season as well and in hindsight, the club might have made a mistake back then by not pushing for the Hibernian star, as the Hoops ended up finishing 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership title race and without a single piece of silverware in the 2020/21 campaign.

Since then, Boyle has continued his great run of form for Hibernian. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 14 goals and provided 5 assists in 28 appearances for the club across all competitions this season.

And the links with Celtic have never quite gone away. But at this point of time, it does feel unlikely that the Hoops will make a move for him despite the fact that the club could do with another player capable of playing on the wings for them.

Celtic have signed a number of players and shelled out a significant amount in transfer fees over the previous two transfer windows.

On the other hand, it is believed that it would take a £3 million transfer fee for Hibernian to let go of Boyle.

Thus, at this point of time, it does feel a bit unlikely that Celtic would make that kind of a move, especially in January. But never say never in football.

Ahmed Kendouci

Here’s a name that came almost out of the blue in recent weeks. Kendouci is an Algerian international who currently plays for ES Setif in his home country.

And there is no doubt about the fact that he has been very impressive for them and is a prospect to keep an eye out on.

But with Celtic already bringing in Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi, while a move for Matt O’Riley looks close as well, it is very unlikely that the club would try to sign another midfielder in the near future.
