Things are looking up for Celtic at this point of time. The club have completed some huge deals already in the January transfer window by bringing in Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi and Johnny Kenny. And more could be about to arrive in the future. On the other hand, some of the players appear to be recovering well from their respective injuries and could be back on the pitch soon.

One player that Celtic would want back available as soon as possible is Jota. The Portuguese winger has been out of action since picking up an injury in early December.

Thus, Jota has missed quite a bit of action but the Hoops were handed a huge boost earlier when it emerged that he had returned to full training. And now, it appears that there is a timeline on his return to the pitch as well.

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Ange Postecoglou told Celtic’s official YouTube channel:

"“He won’t be far off. If it’s not Monday then we expect him over the next couple of weeks to be available. Like I said, he’s rehabbed really well and he feels pretty good.”"

Celtic have been handed a massive Jota injury boost

It is safe to say that Jota’s return from injury would be a massive boost for Celtic. He has been one of the club’s standout players this season and is an undroppable in Postecoglou’s starting XI already.

He is only on a season-long loan from Benfica at this point of time though and there have been a lot of calls from the fans to make the deal permanent as soon as possible, with Celtic having an option to buy included in the loan deal.

It remains to be seen what will happen regarding that. But first things first, the club will be hoping to have Jota fit and available at the earliest possible.

Also, it will be interesting to see how Maeda, Jota and Kyogo all fit into Postecoglou’s plans moving forward and whether they will all be in the starting XI at the same time.
