#2. Tom Rogic

A little over a year ago, it had looked like Tom Rogic’s Celtic career was coming to an end. Fortunately, the Australian ended up staying.

Since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager, Rogic has very much discovered his best. When both Jota and Kyogo were out injured, he was the club’s standout performer and played a huge part in making sure that the results did not drop.

Not many would have expected these kind of performances from Rogic this season after the past few years had been marked by injuries and inconsistency for the Australian international.

Not only has he dazzled with his performances but he has proven effective in big moments as well, providing the assist to Kyogo’s winner against Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup final.

And it is just that moment that might have put him ahead of Jota in this list, as the Portuguese winger ended up missing the final through injury.

#1. Kyogo

When Kyogo arrived at Celtic in the summer, there were a lot of questions about whether he could get it done in Scottish football and cope with its physicality.

We are half way into the 2021/22 season and he has most probably been the best player in Scotland till now.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 16 goals and provided 5 assists in 26 appearances for the club this season till now.

He has been Celtic’s talisman to say the least and they have not looked the same whenever he has not played. And he has also proven himself to be the man for the big moment, scoring a brace in the Scottish League Cup final against Hibernian to hand the Hoops a 2-1 win, despite not being fully fit for the game.

It is safe to say that Kyogo has been Celtic’s best player this season till now and signing him was an absolute masterstroke.
