Boyle has arguably been Hibernian’s best player for some time now. He has been great this season as well. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 14 goals and provided 5 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.

Celtic were linked with the player last season as well and in hindsight, it might have been a mistake not to make a push to sign him back then, considering how the 2020/21 campaign turned out for them.

The Hoops continue to be linked with Boyle though and it is not hard to see why. On one hand, they could definitely do with a player like him on the wing. On the other hand, the Australian connection with Ange Postecoglou is also something worth considering.

There have been rumours recently that Celtic could make an offer for him this January. But there could be a stumbling block as well.

There have been suggestions that Hibernian could be looking for a £3 million transfer fee for Boyle, which is significant considering the fact that he is already 28 years of age.

Zinedine Ferhat

Ferhat would be an outside of the box choice from Celtic if they did end up making a move for the Algerian international.

He is currently playing for Ligue 2 side Nimes and has struggled to even get into their first-team. But there is no question about his talent.

He showed how good he can be in Ligue 1 last season although Nimes ended up getting relegated. And with his contract set to run out next summer, it might be the perfect time to make a move for him.

While Ferhat might not be a player who comes in and immediately makes an impact on the Celtic first-team, he would certainly be an interesting option for Postecoglou to have. And out of the three options mentioned here, he might be the easiest to bring in as well.
