Shaun Maloney wants to sign Celtic player for Hibernian
At one point, Shaun Maloney was linked with the Celtic managerial job although that did not end up transpiring. He is very highly rated though and has recently been appointed as the Hibernian manager, a move that has been praised by many and could turn out to be a masterstroke on the part of the Premiership club. It remains to be seen how things turn out over the coming weeks and months.
Maloney might have his eyes on a Celtic player though. The man in question is Ewan Henderson, who has not gotten a lot of playing time this season.
On top of that his current deal with Celtic is believed to be running out next summer and as a result, it would not be a huge surprise if he did end up leaving the club in the near future.
As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, Maloney is lining up a move for Henderson, who the Hibernian manager knows well from his time coaching the Celtic developmental squad.

While Henderson was very highly rated while coming through the youth ranks at Celtic, he has never been able to make his mark on the senior team.
Playing time has been hard to come by for him this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Henderson has made only one appearance in this campaign till now and featured for just 19 minutes on the pitch.
It must be pointed out though that he did score in that game, against Real Betis, and with his first touch nonetheless.
There is no question about the fact that there is potential in Henderson but at this point of time, he just does not look ready to have a regular spot in the Celtic starting XI. Thus, a move away might not be a bad idea for the youngster.
