If there is one thing that we have learned from Celtic’s first half of the season, it is that they need to make additions in January. Their squad depth was pretty thin to begin with and a series of injuries have meant that Ange Postecoglou has been left scrambling for options several times already. That cannot be repeated if they are to challenge for the Premiership title in the second half of the campaign.

The club have already been linked with players like Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi. But just three signings might not be enough for Celtic.

As a result, loan moves could be a good way for the club to bring in players to fix their problems on a short-term basis.

And there are quite few players in the Premier League right now, who could be benefited by a half-a-season stay at Parkhead.

Celtic: 3 Premier League players the club should target on loan

Here are three Premier League players that Celtic should target on potential loan deals in the upcoming January transfer window:

Amad arrived at Manchester United last season with a lot of expectations, as many believe that he has the potential to become one of the best players in the world one day.

And while he has already scored for Manchester United’s senior team, it does not feel like he will get enough minutes for them at this stage of his career. Thus, a loan move to Feyenoord was heavily rumoured in the summer although it did not materialise as a result of an injury.

He could head out on loan in January though and Celtic should definitely check if there is any opportunity of making it happen.

The winger could be an incredible short-term addition for Celtic at a time when they are struggling for options up top as a result of a series of injuries. On the other hand, Amad could get some experience both domestically and in Europe.
