Talking about improvement, nobody probably has improved more since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager than Tom Rogic.

Many fans would have hoped that the Australian connection would have helped Rogic to rediscover some of his form and contribute to the first-team at Celtic once again. But not many would have seen this kind of form coming.

Rogic has been nothing short of sensational. And in the absence of Kyogo and Jota in recent weeks, he has arguably been the club’s talisman.

He has shown that he can make a contribution by putting the ball in the back of the net, or setting up others to do the same.

It is safe to say that Rogic has been incredibly impressive for Celtic this season and seems to be getting better with every passing game. One can only hope that he can continue on with this run of form because at the top of his game, he is without doubt one of the best players in all of Scotland.

James McCarthy

Celtic made a bit of a surprising move when they signed James McCarthy in the summer as a free agent on a four-year deal.

The club had been linked with him for a long time, but his recent injury problems are well documented. And it is safe to say that till now, the move has not worked out.

McCarthy has spent significant time on the sidelines trying to get back to match fitness and when he has been on the pitch, he has not been able to put in his best performances either.

Thus, it is safe to say that he needs to improve a lot if he is break into Postecoglou’s starting XI on a consistent basis, especially with the club being linked with moves for Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi in January. The performance against St Johnstone was a positive display though.
