Anthony Ralston

Anthony Ralston has been a standout performer for Celtic since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager. And he should retain his place in the starting XI.

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Cameron Carter-Vickers has been a regular in the Celtic starting XI ever since joining the club on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur and one could argue that he is the best defender at Parkhead right now.

Stephen Welsh

He helped keep a clean sheet against St Mirren, after some shaky performances from Carl Starfelt in recent weeks.

Josip Juranovic

Could Josip Juranovic make a return to the left-back position after mostly featuring as a right-back or a right winger in recent weeks? He has done very well when playing there in the past.

Nir Bitton

Nir Bitton has played his way into Postecoglou’s first-team plans. And with David Turnbull out with a hamstring injury right now, one can expect to see him in the starting XI against St Johnstone.

Tom Rogic

The Australian has been the talisman for Celtic in recent weeks and they might be looking towards him to produce a moment of magic once again.

Callum McGregor

Callum McGregor has been his consistent self once again this season and is without doubt one of the most important players at Celtic right now.

Liel Abada

Liel Abada has looked out of form in recent months after an exceptional start to his Celtic career earlier on in the campaign. And while one would have expected him to be dropped under normal circumstances, with the number of players that Celtic are missing, do not expect that to happen against St Johnstone.

Kyogo

Another player who is an injury doubt for this game is Kyogo. He was not 100 per cent in the final last Sunday. But with another week to recover, and just one game to be played before the winter break starts, Postecoglou might decide to give him a run out.

Mikey Johnston

Johnston is another one who has been out of form recently but is expected to start due to a lack of options in his position.
