Celtic have navigated through the month of December quite well, winning all five of their games till now. But the incredible number of injuries that the club have right now, with players like Kyogo, Jota, James Forrest and several others out of action, are starting to catch up with the Hoops.

This was a massive win for the club as it had looked like they were headed to drop points on the night against Ross County.

Anthony Ralston came to the rescue late on to win it. But that cannot hide the fact that the performance left a lot to be desired and at times, it resembled those from last season.

Of course, at the moment, nothing cannot be done and one can only hope that the club are able to get through the month without picking up any more injuries.

There is a lot of work to be done in January

We all know that there are a lot of injuries at Celtic right now. But one of the biggest reasons behind that is the lack of squad depth at the club at the moment.

Several players have had to play quite a lot of constant football as a result of it and this has only made injuries more likely.

January provides them a great opportunity to rectify this issue. The Hoops will need to make more additions to their squad when the transfer window opens next month.

They have been linked with quite a few players in recent weeks and rumours have suggested that they are getting closer to deals for the likes of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi. And it is safe to say that reinforcements could not come soon enough for the Hoops. There are still some huge games to be played before that though.
