Celtic have pulled off some incredible moves early into the Ange Postecoglou era. The likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Jota, Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers are just a few that come to mind immediately. And there have been heavy rumours about them signing more players in the upcoming January transfer window, but there are also several players who could leave Glasgow next month.

It is believed that the club are closing in on moves for the likes of Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi.

But it looks like some players will be headed towards the exit as well. This is especially true for those players, who have already struggled for playing time this season.

As reported by Transfer Tavern, Kieran Devlin recently said in a Q&A on The Athletic:

"“Understand that a fair few of the Thursday players are being pencilled for loan or permanent moves in January anyway, so I’m personally still a little hesitant of saying admirable performances against Betis means squad depth is not as poor as it was beforehand.”"

Some Celtic players could be headed for the exit door in January

The exit of Vasilis Barkas is expected, who has struggled to make the matchday squad for quite some time now. Rumours have suggested that a number of Turkish clubs are interested in the Greek goalkeeper.

Albian Ajeti could also be on his way out as well. The Swiss striker has had brief moments of promise but they have been few and far between. He has also struggled through injury this season. Thus, his Parkhead career might come to an end soon.

With other additions in the midfield, Ismaila Soro’s Celtic career may be up in the air as well. The 23-year-old Ivory Coast midfielder has not played much over the past couple of months.

Boli Bolingoli could also be another candidate to head out. The left back is another one who has barely featured in 2021/22.

Loan moves could possibly be ahead for younger players like Liam Shaw, Osaze Urhoghide and Owen Moffat, who have shown potential but are still a long way from the first-team.

That is quite a number of players who could leave next month, some permanently and some temporarily. And there could possibly be more.
