Things keep getting harder for Celtic with every injury, but they are getting the job done for now. A goal from Tom Rogic was enough to hand them all three points against Motherwell with a 1-0 win and keep up the pressure on the Rangers, who had won their game earlier. Ange Postecoglou must be delighted with the fact that his side have not let the results slip despite facing major obstacles.

This will also be a major confidence boost for the Celtic players, who showed that they can win games even without two of their talismans, Kyogo and Jota.

One would hope though that they are back as soon as possible, with some huge games coming up.

The Scottish League Cup final against Hibernian is just a week away and the Glasgow Derby against the Rangers is around the corner as well. And with how tight the title race is looking, every league game is important from here till the end of the season.

Celtic vs Motherwell: 3 things we learned as Tom Rogic wins it

Here are three things we learned from Celtic’s 1-0 win over Motherwell, with Ange Postecoglou’s side keeping up the pressure on the Rangers:

Celtic have developed the winning habit

Earlier in the season, Celtic had found themselves in a similar situation when Kyogo and Callum McGregor were out of action. Back then the results had slipped considerably. They have avoided that this time around till now though.

Celtic have won all four of their games in December till now. And while they might be narrow wins, three points is all that matters at this point of time.

This will be a very encouraging sign for Postecoglou as the progress that this side is making is clear for all to see. And it will be interesting to see how they do when they have a deeper squad and most of their players are fit.
