Things have not been going Celtic’s way in December. Of course, they have won all three of their games this month till now, but the number of injuries that they have suffered in those games will surely have Ange Postecoglou worried. Jota, Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh, James Forrest, Kyogo and Albian Ajeti have all been forced off the pitch recently.

Fortunately for Celtic, there does appear to be some good news on the injury front. Welsh has already been back in action for the Hoops and now, it looks like a couple of stars might not be far away either.

Celtic posted pictures from their training session on their official website, and it certainly must have caught the attention of several fans. Anthony Ralston and James Forrest were both pictured back in training.

Now, it is unclear when they will be available for selection but the signs are certainly positive. On the other hand, Hibernian’s bad run of form continued as they conceded a 87th minute goal to drop two points and get a 1-1 draw against St Mirren.

Celtic handed huge boost while Hibernian’s bad run of form continues

Hibernian have not won any of their four games in December till now and it is just recently that they parted ways with Jack Ross. Thus, it is safe to say that they are far from in an ideal situation heading into the League Cup final against Celtic.

But Celtic will be aware that form often goes out of the window in finals. And the fact that Hibernian will be the underdogs could very well work in their favour.

Celtic have two more games to play before the League Cup final against Hibernian. The most important thing for them will be avoid any more injuries while finding ways to get wins at the same time.
